How
will we attract our audience?
Attracting the audience is the whole point of a film opening. If you can’t attract an audience then they are not going to want to watch your film. You can attract an audience in different ways and one of the biggest ways is through the narrative. The narrative has to be good and the audience need to make sure they can see this clearly. Even though we are only doing a film opening, we need to make sure that it is clear to our audience what our film is going to be about. This can easily be sorted out by our group planning what our film is going to be about before we make the opening of the film so we can make it as clear as possible to the audience and they can understand what is going on. It is also important that the storyline is a clear action and it will be exciting. The audience would be going to watch your film because they like that specific genre and if you are not giving them what they want then they are not going to enjoy the film.
I have also noticed that in every opening scene of an action film, the location is made obvious and it is also an exciting location. This is good way of attracting the audience because if they see an interesting location, it might stand out more and they will want to watch it.

The target audience is also key to attract the audience. If you know your target audience then this means you can add certain features in so that they can relate the text and are more likely to enjoy the piece because they feel more involved. As I think this is the most important part of attracting audience, I designed a questionnaire and asked 10 boys from the year below me to answer my question. I asked the boys in the year below in particular because that is who my target market is.
