Casting / audition intentions
For our casting, we plan to have a few different actors do different things that happen in our film in front of a camera to see how they look. We will most likely have them do the scenes of the film that we are sure we are going to include in the film, for example:
Bad characters
- Have them dress in a motorcycling clothes (helmet / leathers) and see how they look in a CCTV style camera when approaching the setting's front door.
(Obviously this character will be harder to find characters as the actor needs to be able to be seen on a bike and be stereotypically big looking)
Jason Smith
For Jason Smith we will also be looking for an older looking actor as the film would not work if a kid was playing the role of an actor. We will most likely have the actors applying for this role doing the obvious scenes from the film, for example have them tie up their tie, or have the camera do a close up on their eyes to see how they look in front of the camera and see if it fits what we were looking for.
Why
We are going to do this type of thing in the audition stage so we can get a good look at all the actors and see which one fits our role the best in our opinion. It also allows us to change some shots or some aspects of the opening if we find an actor and decide we'd be better off doing something else with him to better our opening. By auditioning our actors before filming allows us to better our overall opening before having to finish it.
